Happy to share here my experience with Wheatgrass therapy.

I was suffering from Asthmatic attacks ever since I landed in Kochi to join the job at Cochin shipyard.

I suffered very badly even with the allopathic treatment which I had to take continuously.

Actually I had read an article on Wheatgrass therapy when I was with the Ordnance factory training Institute at Ambajhari, Nagpur in the year 1972 or so. As soon as I read the article I decided to try for my chronic cold which I had then. At that time it had not developed into full scale asthma though I had mild breathing trouble off and on.

When asthmatic attacks became so unbearable and hopeless I took the decision to start wheatgrass therapy finally.

For this I needed the assistance of my wife because I had to grow the wheatgrass at home. Now a days wheatgrass is available even in five star hotels as a nutritional drink, but that was not the case back then in the seventies.

I had with me the book with the title " Wheatgrass therapy God's Manna" by one Mr Mehta of Gujarath and also I had ordered a book from Hippocrates Institute, Michigan, USA where the founder of the Institute who discovered wheatgrass therapy accidentally when she was cured from a very chronic skin ailment on her legs, the ulcers became so bad that doctors advised her to amputate her legs from knees down, as there was no cure for the disease which she had.

Wheatgrass not only cured her, but she also became so healthy that she devoted her entire remaining life for promoting and researching the various benefits of wheatgrass Chlorophyl.

Though evey green leaf has chlorophyl, she found out that wheatgrass was the best one among the 350 plus green leaves which she tried on and researched on.

Now I can give you the method to prepare wheatgrass at your home.

Take seven trays with atleast 2 inch depth with soil or without soil, if it is without soil you can use thick wet cloth which you have to put at the bottom of the tray.

Make the cloth wet or the soil wet, now it is ready to sow the germinated seeds of wheat, we can use any wheat which we purchase from the market for making chappathi or roti.

Germination is a different process, that is soak the wheat in a vessel or a bowl for about 12 hrs and then drain the water after that.

Now to keep the soaked seeds in the wet condition, keep it in a towel or cloth which is wet, this is to be kept in this state in a dark place for about 24 hrs.

Now you have germinated seeds ready for sowing.

That's it.

On the seventh day wheatgrass of about 6 inches long is ready for consumption.

Now how to use it is my next part of the blog.

Well cut the grass from the base and clean it well, take the juice in a mixer grinder.

Add enough water to make it less bitter or the grassy taste.

Take the juice of one ounce of wheat and consume it in empty stomach.
