A place called "Garh Mukteshwar" in UP is one of the most visited religious places in North India. Thousands of people conduct rituals for the peace of their departed ancestors and equally large number of people go there for a HOLY DIP on AMAVASYA. There are no organised ghats, no changing rooms, not even for women. There are no toilets and the place is extremely dirty. I wish the money spent on making statues was spent to provide basic facilities at such places.
