Today I mourn the death of my Hitach refrigerator;
He was so young and I had hoped to get though many more summers together.
The one that I almost spent an arm and a leg on. It finally sits on my kitchen floor conked off since the last 21 days. The company technicians failed to resuscitate it while quoting me a repair bill for which I’ll need to pawn off my second born.
Am better off going back to my eco friendly Mitti Cool bottles and might just convert the non functional fridge into a Godrej almari. Am sure the burglars will never guess that the freezer, once where I stashed my prized walnuts from California and some indulgent Iranian saffron, is now a final resting place for on old photo of goddess Laxmi, few silver articles that my mom inherited in her shadi and a big bundle of 1000 rupee notes that my kids now use as monopoly money.
