The problem with this claim is that it is tricky to work out where this summation leaves the rest of Mikes friends.

Another major ethical issue presented in the movie is the issue of justice, the fair distribution of resources to the population. Because John Q and his family do not have enough money to pay for the surgery, the hospital requires the Archibalds to make a cash payment.
The Archibalds demonstrate many signs of a happy family. List three (3) examples of how they are a happy family.

Whilst some may have found the main character, John Archibalds, actions immoral due to the way he handled things, such as holding up an emergency room with a gun, and keeping hostages, those may also consider the facts that Archibald hadnt only done this as a cry out for his sons heart.

What does Denise Archibald say to John when they are desperate?
John Q is a good man – what forces him to do bad? Did he have a choice?
John and his wife rush him to the hospital and discover Mikey’s heart is three times larger than it should be and he will need a heart transplant in order to live. They don’t even own their home plus their insurance will not cover the surgery. This leads John and his wife to do everything in their power to raise money.
What do their friends do to support the Archibalds when Mikey gets sick?
Eighteen months ago, Mickey had a surfing accident, because of which he went through multiple surgeries. To deal with the pain, he took some painkillers (oxy) and got addicted to them. Whether or not the hospital should pay for the operation and let the boy live or follow the rules meaning the boy would not survive.

John Q and his family are well liked by their friends – why?
It hit close to home because just the day before a family friend died unexpectedly in a freak car accident. The circumstances of the crashes were different but the results were the same, a person losing their life. So I was already in my feelings and it didn’t get much better as the film went on.
What negative (bad) things are trying to pull the family apart?

obviously by following the society rules. Knowing that his son needed a heart transplant , John Quincy did what he could to obtain the money needed for his son operation .The doctors and health plan did not care, so John Q assaulted the hospital and threaten to kill every body if his son was not placed on the list for patients in need of a heart.
He sold his car, his TV and other things. He fallow all the procedures established by the hospital. Because of the stress, the frustration, the desperation, the feeling that his son was slowly suffering .
