How nice of people in mouthshut to have a column like this, where I can blow my own trumpet as much as i want to!
hey, don't be alarmed! I talk a lot, think even more but do very less, so you can consider me the opposite version of 'talk less, work more'. I'm a hard-core follower of our president's clarion call to dream, dream and dream more...that's so much of fun! I'm not a supercool person, always partying or roaming 'bout, but not the entirely goody-goody one either...sort of in-between, you know -following the moderate path,( as advocated by the Buddha). I believe that zindagi is a paheli, of course, but then, you've gotta live it,man, 'n acccept whatever comes our way....for we get this wonderful life but once..no action replays here.....yeah, i'll stop this philosophical chatter.
Basically, i've three mottos (better than the 3 horrid laws of motion, i think): be cool, be yourself 'n enjoy life to the fullest ( ne'er mind if i don't live upto 'em sometimes). I'm a bit self-conscious ( wonder what u r thinking 'bout me now?), but love making new friends. And i think the best thing 'bout me is that i tend to look at the brighter side of things. And the worst, I think is that I'm easily influenced by what people say..
And I've got a really crazy habit of penning down the silliest ideas and thoughts that come to my mind - I've already filled two whole notebooks this way, filled with opinions about people, abuses that I'd wanted to hurl at my physics ma'm , the crazy things I did, etc. etc. And i think it helps a lot, for my writings have become a dependable outlet (wow! like anne frank's diary!)
By the way, I'm doing my B.Sc. in computer science..I'd wanted to do Literature, in fact...neway, as I already said - life's a puzzle.
So, all you guys awake till now - regarding myself....that's all, folks!
. Talking of interests, i don't think there's anything more interesting than sitting with a book in one hand, 'n something to munch on, in the other.... I started with nancy drew 'n hardy boys, 'n evolved 2 read Sidney Sheldon, Patrick Tilley, R.K. Narayan, Ayn Rand.....any author who gives interesting stuff. I don't have a strict favorite..keeps changing with the books i read.
I luv collecting pictures from newspapers 'n magazines..... my picture album is one of my most prized possessions. i've pictures that'd inspire Wordsworth to write an ode to my album... contains shots of anything under the sun that catches my eye
Interested in watching tv, of course..i'm hooked 2 mtv or channel v mostly... luv watching movies, listening 2 music...... simply crazy 'bout rehman, like anyone else..also lucky ali, alka yagnik, hariharan 'n of course,myself!
For all of u who had patience 2 read all this, that's regarding my interests..hope many of u there share some of mine!
