One comment: the bullet doesnt cure cancer. the doc says that it has helped them remove the tumor which would have been difficult to remove through operation. the doc says that Avatar has to follow normal course of treatement like Chemo. I agree that this dialogue wasn't well versed in this scene an read more...

Paul: To answer your question, this is what chaos theory is all about. The Butterfly effect as it's called means when a butterfly flaps its wings, a toranado may happen in Africa. You might wonder how the flapping of a wing can cause torando and this is where the random events that occur to link read more...
Crawl, Walk and then run...In order for us to reach the standards of world cinema, this is what we need to do. Having said, for people who says the graphics in the movie look bad, please tell me one tamil movie which had graphics/special effects in other areas other than songs. Tell me one movi read more...

Very Nice review Kamdev and well written as well. You have nicely pointed out that in order to make a movie box-office success in India, one needs 'entertaining elements' which Kamal has comprised in his screenplay. For those who think that 10 characters are not necessary, there is another sub pl read more...

And I will end my debate here :-) Nice points Shiv!!! -Until next review Later
In the end one thing is clear, at least, Kamal's movie has raised the IQ level of his viewers by making them think logically when watching a tamil movie and also raising an awareness to other departments of movie making.
Shivbits: What do you mean by 'commercial ' here? All films are released for commerical purposes only - to promote self, promote art and promote business If we don't introduce movie goers to subtlety when will they get used to it? We all got to used to 6 songs, 4 fights and the superhero image b read more...

Good Review. Mr. Narayan, If you are talking about Malaika's pole dance as not family friendly, then any tamil movie when you have heriones and 'extras' in mini skirts using suggestive 'gestures' called dance movements as 'non-family' friendly. It's just perception. Having said that, I fe read more...

I think Kamal is trying to challenge the viewers to think outside the box (which is the usual script layout) and maybe that's why it's a little difficult to understand. I wish the DVD comes out with special features
Very nice review. There is one point in your review which no one said and I was thinking about the same. There is something in this movie for everyone. So based on their taste, they can just take what they want. This is a very good observation!!!! I differ from your review in one small aspect: read more...

On Asin: I read a lot of review stating she was irritating, but i think the idea was to make her like that. She is supposed to enact a naive agraharam girl who completely believes in God and is not worldy wise. If you observe those people, they talk like they shout and maybe that's what irritated ev read more...
First of all, please don't compare Sivaji with Dasavathaaram. Both are of different genres. Also, as I said in my review, Indian cinegoers, especially south India, are disciplined to watching 6 songs, 4 fights and retried storyline. You throw a different story and people are not going to understan read more...

It's a biased opinion of a viewer who marks a film as 'bad' just because he/she didn't understand the story

To Shivbits Shiv, Even though I agree that Baba had a good theme, the movie was a colossal flop because of the way Rajni's superhero image got mixed with the actual story I agree Dasavathaaram has its own set of flaws, but I believe that the flaws are on the CGIs and some of the editing, b read more...

Hi, I liked your view on the tone of the movie, but I think if the movie hadn't introduced a comedy element to it, it would have flopped. Kamal took Alavandhan which had a wonderful concept. The tone of the movie was good, but it flopped. People still remember him for that flop. I can say the sa read more...
