About Pratanu Banerjee (Principal of Performing Artist Society) Performing Artist Society is an institution affiliated under Srijony Bangiya Sangeet Kala Kendra. In this institute, synthesizer, mouth organ, flute, Spanish guitar are taught by Pratanu Banerjee. Pratanu Banerjee has learnt synthesizer under Mr. Tarak Roy, Mr. V Balsara, Mr. Aditya Bikram Chakraborty. Pratanu Banerjee has learnt mouth organ from Mr. Tarak Roy. Pratanu Banerjee has learnt Spanish guitar from Mr. Rhitom Sarkar and Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee. Pratanu Banerjee has learnt flute from Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee. Pratanu Banerjee is associated with Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society whose Secretary is Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee. This NGO promotes musicians and Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee has given Pratanu Banerjee the affiliation to open a music school under Srijony Bangiya Sangeet Kala Kendra. Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee is a 35-years experienced musician at Sodpur who has been teaching harmonium, vocal, mouth organ, flute, Spanish guitar, hawaian guitar at Kakali Bitan Sangeet Vidyalay. He provides students with certificates under Srijony Bangiya Sangeet Kala Kendra. He promotes new musicians and donates musical instruments at his NGO Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society. He promotes tribal culture and has invited the Santals in a cultural program organized by his NGO Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society. He has played in various places on stage, in television, has worked with reputed personalities like Manna Dey, Ajay Chakraborty and others. He has been a casual player of flute at All India Radio. Now, Pratanu Banerjee has not only worked with Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society. He has also worked with Khatra Adibasi Culture and Development Center where Mr. Lakshmindra Kumar Sarkar has done stage shows with tribals and musicians of Kolkata. He has promoted them through newspaper Adibasi Sambad and has organized Hul Dibas at Kala Mandir. Pratanu Banerjee is the Public Relations Coordinator of Khatra Adibasi Culture and Development Center for more than 2 years. He is a graduate in Anthropology Hons from Bangabasi College and has also studied anthropology at Higher Secondary level instead of maths as additional subject. Pratanu Banerjee has traveled Maharashtra at Mulgawan Village where he stayed for 23 days and studied the Kolam tribe and published a report of 110 page under the leadership of Ms. Ratna Bhattacharya, the ex-head of the department of the reputed college. Pratanu Banerjee has done household survey at Mulgawan village and has done patient satisfaction survey for the project of Hospital Administration of Medvarsity online Limited. Pratanu Banerjee has translated many pages of newspaper Adibasi Sambad and has written many reports like a journalist of Adibasi Sambad. Pratanu Banerjee has worked with editor of Adibasi Sambad and has marketed the newspaper in various stalls of Kolkata.
