May be u'll have to reach bangalore by air or mysore by train. Then you can take a volvo bus to coorg. There might be other better ways, but this is to the best of my knowledge.

You can still enjoy the beauty of coorg without having a pinch in your pocket...stay at Coorg Intenational. Its affordable, good service and is located within the town. I really enjoyed my stay there. Read my review.
