The poet like the tiger being alive in the forest. He likes the tiger hunt a goat or cow from the herds, he likes them sleep and roar, he likes them frighten men from entering the jungle and he likes them live fearlessly. He further writes that the people should be able to hear the roar of the tigers because it will scare them.

In the last stanza , the poet’’s tune changes into a humorous one . In the first two stanzas , the poet talks about the extinction, preservation of tigers and ways to increase its no. but in the last stanza , he says that the tiger’’s pop. should not increase so much that one day a tiger would enter his room and gobble him up as his meal
