When I was searching for a new phone, I looked at many options that included,
Redmi Note 4,
Moto G5 Plus,
Moto G5s Plus,
Lenovo K8 Note,
Yureka 2,
Xiaomi A1 etc.
Then on 3rd of October this new smartphone was launched by 10.or(pronounced as "Tenor").
It is another chinese company to enter the Indian market. But, that doesnt bother me any more because, now after reading a lot on this issue as most of the smartphones and even parts of I phone is manufactured in China.
This phone comes With
5.5 inch Full HD Screen,
4 GB RAM
64 GB Internal memory
13+ 13 Mp dual primary camera set up.
16 MP front camera
4000 MAh Battery
Android 7.1.2
This is really a superb phone that runs on Android Nougat out of the box.
The Snapdragon 626 is 2.2 Ghz processor that is the power house of this phone. This really power efficient chip set that enhances battery life a lot.
All other phones stated above for comparison have some or the other drawbacks. This 10.or G has none.
Even flash for front camera is present in this which is rare under this price segment of Rs. 10, 000 to 15, 000.
.
Now I have used it for 15 days and am fit to comment truthfully.
Performance is top notch. With 4 GB RAM and Snapdragon 625(specifications shows 626 but actually it is 625) processor it excels in every job given.Be it Gaming or multitasking.
Camera takes superb shots in daylight and Broken effects are awesome. Truly the dual camera works well. It captures good amount of light and this gives clarity to pictures. So, images come out very good. Also, it gives you wonderful selfie shots. Better than Redmi Note 4 any time in front as well as back camera.
But as usual, struggling in low light conditions. Actually low light conditions photography is bad in all the phones under 16, 000/-.Be it Moto G5s Plus, Xiaomi A1 or damn anything. So, you cant complain. Only Moto G5 Plus clicks better in lowlight but then it lags in battery and dual camera.
But yes, if you want low light camera performance and great overall camera performance then better increase your budget and you can get Honor 9i launched recently at Rs. 17, 999/-
Lets come back to Tenor G.
Screen is very bright. Even in high sunshine you can recall the screen. So, no problems in sunshine legibility.
Fingerprint sensor works fast.
Battery gives more than 1.5 days back up on my really very heavy usage.(I am a heavy user with at least anywhere 4- 6 hours of YouTube daily and gaming and browsing regularly).
One different thing is that capacitive back buttons and menu is given on screen itself at the lower part of phone. They could have given this on lower bezels and could have been better like other smartphones.
These buttons are always visible and you wont have any problems with them in all tasks.
But only While watching YouTube videos you have to scroll from top to get these buttons visible. Other wise in all other tasks they are visible always. Only in videos you have to do this thing. But I assure you that is not a big issue.
The pure android 7.1.2 is smooth and gives no Bloatwares. Only few apps were pre-installed that took only 6-7 GB of the internal memory where other phones take 10 to 12 GB.
So, you have huge memory of something around 56-57 GB free.
Network is good. Reliance JIO SIM works smoothly without Jio4Gvoice app, so it is VoLTE enabled. It doesnt show on screen though. But it works easily.
So.
You have a phone that will beat every one else any time.
Only short coming that can be taken is scarcity of service centres. But when Xiaomi was launched in 2014 the same problem was with that too. Now Xiaomi has become big brand.
Similarly, with best specifications and performance gradually 10.or will also come out bright.
Recommended.
