I got an offer in my mailbox stating "Buy HTC One X by paying Rs. 799 only". After the following the link, I read through the T&Cs and liked the offer. The offer basically was to pay INR 799 and book the phone (HTC One, in this case). There would be few others as well who would get attracted and make the payment. There would then be a lucky draw between 10 people out of all the individuals who made the payment would be selected and 3 out of these would be given away the HTC One phone (as it is an expensive product).
After a month (which was the lucky draw date promised), I got a call from 100bestbuy stating that I have been selected amongst the 10 customers who would be eligible for the draw. And those who don’t get selected in the lucky three would be given some freebies. In my case, I wasn’t lucky enough and so I got a call stating that I would be receiving a pair of Reebok Sunglasses and a Reebok sports watch.
When the package arrived, forget the Reebok watch and sunglasses, I received some half inch sized metal statue and some local made wrist watch that wasn’t in working condition either. After many attempts of speaking their PATHETIC & CRAPPY customer service agents, I had to give up my efforts.
My suggestion to all those who get attracted to such offers, keep your hands out of it. . . . Atleast from 100bestbuy.com
