Prabhu tero naam

The morning starts early.

And being the sleepy head that I am, I look for inspiration beyond the usual cup of tea *(more about that here: https://mouthshut.com/review/Tata_Tea-67297-1.html).

And What better inspiration than **music**?

Trying out the usual Mozart’s, Beethovens, Bollywood numbers, ghazals, inspirational songs, I am flummoxed.***I need something a little more soothing here!*** Then the thought stuck me - how about devotional music?

What it is supposed to be: **Imagine drowning in a sea of calmth and tranquility - waves of peaceful melody crashing, breaking, washing over you. Soothing away past hurt, present sorrow, future anxiety. Dissolving strife, inspiring meditation.

Turn inwards, the inner eye - and become with the One inside.**

What it usually ends up being: **Loud blaring music over crackly loudspeakers - villagewomen fataa baans of all night bhajans. Help, someone, call the police! **

Some years back, I even heard people making the transition to Shiv Bhakti and Gayatri mantra - pretty ok stuff, but essentially repetetive.

_

Once the thought struck, the rest was easy: A google search for devotional music brought me to this website. What impressed me right away was the **large collection of albums **in this category. Secondly, they were all **high quality.** The time for download may be longer but is well worth the wait.

There’s a large number of different numbers and albums to be enjoyed here - both with lyrics and purely instrumental. The music is sophisticated and the singers wonderful.

**Whichever corner of the world you are and whatever the God that you believe in, there’s something for every seeking soul here.**
