I had heard good things about this book and decided to go for it, I can say this is the best and my favourite Chetan Bhagat book so far. While I was about to read the book, I had just completed reading’5 Point Someone’, and initially while going through’2 States’ felt a little disappointed. But this book has its own wonders, don’t judge 2 States by its initial few pages, it has a lot to offer.
The book describes that love marriages aren’t that simple in India, which is a true fact, two people fall in love, the girl’s parents should like the boy and his family, similarly the guy’s parents should like the girl and her family and then there is marriage. If any of this doesn’t work there’s a lot of an uphill battle. The story revolves around Krish and Ananya who are from two different states of India so naturally different cultural backgrounds and fall in love with each other and decide to get married and of course they have to convince their parents and that involves the hard route.
The story beautifully describes their journey from love to marriage. Its different story and one will love it. So go for it guys!
