I love watching comedies because I love a good laugh at times.secondly I love watching sandra bullock movies because yes yes she is attractive to look at we all know but she seems like a sweet person to me.anyway this movies is about love between two people who we might think are totally wrong for each other.the main actors in this movie are sandra bullock and hugh grant.ive forgotten the names of their characters but I will refer to them by their original names.
STORY-
in the begining sandra bullock is a local lawyer who fights for small cases and also conducts rallies to save buildings which have benefitted the community.hugh grant is the owner of a multi million dollar construction company.this company goes around demolishing these buildings which sandra bullock fights for.then comes a time where the company wants to break down a community centre in sandra bullock’s neighbourhood.so she goes to the main office where hugh grant works to request him to stop the demolition.but what happens she ends up getting recruited as hugh grants personal assistant on a condition that if she worked for him he would stop the demolition.
but hugh grant turns out to be a multi million dollar playboy who just loves squandering his money without any thought.he hardly does any work to.sandra bullock’s career now takes off.from a small time lawyer to a wealthy assistant to hugh grant.but this comes at a cost.sandra bullock gets no privacy and no time off due to constant and erratic phone calls at weird times of the night and day by hugh grant.through the story things get worse for her as her the person who sandra is in love with leaves her.on the other hand we begin to find out that the real mastermind behind the company is hugh grant’s bother who is using hugh grant as a face for the various events and magazines.hugh grant is unhappy as he has to follow orders from his brother and threaten’s hugh grant that he will fire him if he doesnt go through with the demolition of the community centre.
sandra bullock who is sick of all the pressure of her new job and her boss finds out that her side of the deal wont be kept.tired of the entire situation she gives a two weeks notice to her boss about her resignation.in the meanwhile they are in search of a new assistant for hugh grant.the hire a very pretty one.later on we can find a hint of jealousy from sandra bullock as hugh grant has taken to her very quickly.and we can also find out that both people have fallen in love with each other.but everything ends well as hugh grant calls of the demolition as resigns his post.then comes back for sandra bullock.now you can guess the rest of it.
COMEDY-
the type of comedy is not the stupid assanine type of comedy you will find (even though I love comedy like that too)but it is sweet with a well written script and will touch you heart at the end.the fun starts when sandra bullock changes her lifestyle from the local lawyer to a wealthy person.there is also a lot of fun when the new assistant and sandra bullock start battling it out to show who is superior.
but this is also sure to put a smile on your face as you watch the movie.and will make your heart melt with the ending(if you are the mushy types).
CHARACTERS-
the characters played by sandra bullock suited her just right.i had that typical innocent touch to it and it matches the way she looks to.he character played by hugh grant is a little different this time.normally he would play this innocent , well mannered, gentle man type roles.but this time it was a spoilt, bratty businessman.i guess it all changed from the movie ’’bridget jones’s diary’’.but he does it very well.the shift of type of characters for hugh grant will also go unseen as it wont be to awkward to watch.
MY THOUGHTS-
the movies is a nice sweet romantic comedy that will ensure you laughs as well as sorrows.it is a good combination of both.the story is also not you would think it should be or would be as it unfolds gradually this making quite unpredictable.but its a movie the entire family can watch together.my rating (10/10)
