I am listing only ten best songs because to list twenty best songs I would have to gather other information related to song because I am not able to recall all the information, so please bear with me.

Kishorekumar Ganguly, as we all know was born in 1927 in Khandwas a village in Madhya Pradesh and died in 1984 in Mumbai. During his teens, he used to copy the great singer Kundanlal L. Saigal and sung his songs at social gatherings and ceremonies. He didn’t take any sort of classical training(for few days he went for classical training but then he quit) and so when it came to classical singing he was zero. He was renowned as voice of Dev Aanand, Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan three great actors. Besides being a singer he was a good actor(that too a good comedian), director and music composer.

First song sung by Kishorekumar was for Dev Anand in 1948 and the movie was Ziddi.

Selecting ten best songs of Kishorekumar out of thousands of songs sung by him is a tough job, still I am making an attempt. I hope all of you out there would like it.

(Prior to the release of this movie, Kishorekumar was facing unemployment. Actually, this song was to be sung by Mohammed Rafi but as he had to complete some work he left the recording studio and meanwhile, Kishorekumar entered the studio. S.D.Burman thought lets record this song in the voice of Kishorekumar. So, the song was recorded. When Mohammed Rafi returned, he was informed by a man working there that the song has been recorded by Kishorekumar, Mr. Rafi said that lets listen the song,

after that he told that there is no need of recording the song in my voice because the song has already been sung at its best. The movie was a great hit and so was the song which re-launched Kishorekumar for being called as’Best Singer’ of the Millenium in the future.)
