The Sci-Fi movie 2012(released 13th Nov 2009) has been directed by Roland Emmerich starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover and Chiwetel Ejiofer.
The movie shows the’Doomsday on 21st December 2012 due to an apocalyptic event. The sun is sending extra heat to the earth which destabilizes the earth’s crust. The earth is destroyed by the volcano which erupts from California traveling through the entire planet. The theory is based on the Mayan calendar predicted by Nostradamus about the end of civilization in December 2012. Part of Africa is saved in the end.
A father of two kids(broken up with his wife) is seen saving his family out of this catastrophic disaster, played by John Cusack. The story does not show that human civilization ends, its simply shows that some good men are saved who inhabit the left over lands on the earth. The film has good sound, graphic and designing effects. The actors have justified the characters. Even if the film is’a make believe’ or’larger than life’ the audience is left pondering over the various theories. Its keeps the audience hooked and involved.
Reading through a book by Bhavnagri’s which mentions something similar occurring on the earth defined as’Shift of the Axis’. The reason is’Evil domination’ to its saturation point that God will clear the earth of it. This may not be review specific but leaves me wondering for sure about 2012. I thoroughly enjoyed the film and await to see the reality of the Mayan Calendar theory for December 2012.
