Review : Time: 11am .
Me and my friends decide to catch a 12 o clock movie. T’was a satruday afternoon and most of the multiplexes are full. Dissapointed , we decide to try our luck at this theatre called 24 Karat somewhere besdies jogeshwari station. Heres my two cents about what I thought about the theatre :-
Location : Nothing special... its pretty far away from where I stay...even after being so close to the station.. its not a crowd puller.Crowd was pretty sad , at least on all three ocassions that i’ve been there. Really , if you want to make a multiplex do well , you would rather be off by makin it at a place swarmed by people , like Bandra or Andheri or else near any popular college or something. Finding the theatre isnt much of a task. Its right on the road , if ya know what I mean ;) ]
Appearance: The entrance has flags and stuff... ahuh... why would they do that ? Pretty tall structure... sorry.. but the face realyl didnt appeal me... even though theres * I think * a fountain and stuff... its really not theatr-ish. Its made poorly from inside. They should , I mean SHOULD, come out with a map or something. When you enter the theatre theres a screen , in-your-face ., The rest of the screens are scattered along the theres-a-mouse-in-here places of the theatre.. Many canteen up-and-down the theatre.
One sells popcorn , while the other sells... wait let me see... umm... nothing worth mentionable. Anyways , really poor location of the canteens. Toilets are on the 1st floor... no wait.. 2nd floor.. oh wait.. no-no.. they’re on the ground floor.... and he pees in his pants and lives happily ever after. Oh c’mon Tanmay , give them some credit .. Sure , they showed prowess in cramming the toilets in hoky-poky places throughout the theatre.Thats talent for ya !
Service: The dictionary defines service as , work done by a group of people which benefits others. Yeah , I know it by heart , cuz I immediately came back from the theatre and memorised the meaning.. errr... the theatre kinda made me forget what it meant.. Really ? that bad ? Ahuh , and its gets worse. Making sense in English is out of question. I need to speak the native dialect of bihar or uttar pradesh in order to make sense.
You needn’t be a rocket scientist to understand ’’ two tickets for 12 o clock show !!!!!!!!’’ I telebooked my tickets for a Harry potter movie , and they charged me 50 bucks extra and gave me the front row seats. I said fine , probably the theatres full. Just in case, I went there and asked the man at the counter , IN HINDI , whether seats are available for Hp3, he replied back, IN HINDI of course , saying that the theatre was empty and there were ample of tickets available.
Well , why should I pay 50 bucks extra for front row seats when I get them for cheaper rates ? WHY?!?! Its a pity, one cannot reject nature’s call. I wish I could. The people made run all over town to find an open toilet where I could answer it. 4 toilets , and 3 of them were closed. Why so , I dont understand, hardly anyone uses it , cus hardly anyone gets to it on time !!!!
If theres one thing which is nice about thsi theatre , are its pricing. 80 bucks a show, for a multiplex isnt that bad when compared to the other theatres. Well , what you give is what you get !
