Real Christmas songs

Band aid - Do they know it’s Christmas?

Sir Bob Geldof bought everyone back to reality with this song, made to reflect on the position that the continent of Africa faced at this time, with much established artist such as Bowie, Bono, etc. This thankfully knocked that awful ballard of Donovan and Minogue off the charts to take top slot

East 17 - Stay another day

One of the bands greatest hits, and still replayed today, Girls aloud did a cover version of this, let’s be real, hardly as good as the original

Frankie goes to Hollywood - The power of love

A ballard that runs and runs, the true meaning of love at such a time of year

Saint Ettienne - I was born on Christmas day

Perhaps not as well as known as other songs at this time of year, never the less a depressing club hit, well done

Chris Deburgh - A spaceman came travelling

Good song, a little sad melodie perhaps, good song never the less

Band aid - Do they know it’s Christmas?

Re - realised

John Lennon - Give peace a chance, for God sake it’s Christmas

Have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year, let’s hope it’s a good one, without any tears ..... Brilliant

Queen - Thank God it’s Christmas

Better than most Christmas songs, I enjoyed this one. Nice one Freddie, king of performances, done it again at Christmas, so it seems

I do belive there was a song between Bing Crosbie and the master David Bowie, however, I cannot remember what song it was that was sang
