‘A murder in the beginning and hopping around to find the murderer.. running over 16 reels’ should be the one liner if 36 China Town has to be described. If you are already feeling asleep, you might slightly wake-up after reading Abbas-Mastan in titles. But weak plot, and weakly edited movie supersedes the duo’s reputation.
As a matter of fact casino in Goa.. and a beautiful casino owner… and her murder… and three different couples to link her murder with… and a young boy … a smart police officer … with all this 36CT should have been a interesting plot. Especially with duo Ab-Mast who gave us series of thrillers in real sense through out Bajigar to Aitraj 36CT expected to be a special summer treat to their fans.
But, movie goes on disappointing you in every scene ..reel after reel..
And in the end when you are shown a real murderer you feel like laughing rather getting that typical Ab-Mast shock treatment we all experienced in their earlier movies.
I always liked Akshay K in evry role he has played, and in 36CT I keep it up. He looks real handsome and very stylish! .. yeh.. stylish Police Officer.!
Comedians Lever-Rawal… romancing Kareena-Shahid .. guest beautyPriyanka… reshamia… locations… gloss… music… Ab-Mast have tried to put all Massala that could make curry spicy and tasty but….. !!!!
Hmm.. all in all a flop show !
Chattis China Town has got 36 along-with the desired effect …
Even renaming it as ’69 ChinaTown’ may not save the movie. :p
I personally feel somewhere deep in my mind that Ab-Mastan should restrict their male lead role casting to Akky, Bobby, AkshayK.. and may be Saif added in their troupe. Upen’s chiseled looks are impressive but …that’s all about him in this movie..
Everything got wasted in a weak script. Hope Ab-Mast come out with their next movie with the original touch.
