Hmm! This one seems to be a great topic to think and write on! Well my top favourites range through genres! though some of all time favourites would be
King Lear of William Shakepeare
Crime and Punishment of Fudor Dostovskey
Chicken Soup for the Soul Series.
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Geetanjali by Rabindranath Tagore
The first play that was probably introduced to me by my mentor(my Dad), a book that gives a deep insight about life, and stands true even for todays age. A wonderful novel filled with metaphors that charcteristically represent the classical school.
Crime and Punishment is one heck of a book that introduced me to Russian English Literary world. Dostovesky brings about in the truest sense the fragility and tenacity of human mind. More interesting is the fact that this book was written at a time when he was imprisoned himself.
Chicken Soup for the Soul -A series of a Lifetime! Little stories that kindle the heart and make every moment of life worth living. A great series to catch up on in good and bad times.
Pride and Prejudice- An interesting Saga of Four sisters and a master piece by Jane Austen who articulately covers a sensitive subject of heart of every woman. A must read for the Romantic Era Literature
Geetanjali - Inspirational poetry by our own nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore that truly touches the heart with its utter simplicity.
