My favourite 5!!

Well.Ever since I got to know what reading is all about, I got addicted to it! Mom would give me these sweet story books.which I would read for hours together. Time flew.I promoted my liking to stuff like Enid Blytonwhich led to to become one of my favourites.so that’s number one!

I mean the whole* Noddy * series. Then I got on to read the really serious stuff.well if that’s what it can be referred to as. I fell in love with Sidney Sheldon and Jeffrey Archer.

The first real novel I read was Kane and Abelby Archer and it still is one of my favourites.so that’s number two!It was a power packed book about life and rivalry.how two immensely different people.from very different backgrounds go on to become bitter rivals.

The third book on my list will be *Nothing lasts forever *by Sidney Sheldon. It’s a book that is very well written.he’s done a good job in describing the grind a doctor has to go through to make his/her presence felt in the field of medicine. It shows us the trials and tribulations a woman has to face if she has to work in a so called ’Male oriented field’.He’s written a very effective account about the scandals that can take place in a hospital.which, most of the times we don’t realize.A very well written book.a must read.

The fourth book on my list will be Gone With The Wind. Its a book byMargaret Mitchell.Well.anyone who knows what reading is will know that its one of the best classics ever written. The story of a girl.who’s vanity is more important than anything else, who is sought after by all, who has no worries in life.and then suddenly due to the gruesome war.has her life changed right before her helpless eyes. This changes her immensely.

The book presents a very heart rending account on how a young girl.barely out of her teens has to shoulder the responsibility of a senile father, two sick sisters, the wife of her only love, and a handful of negro slaves.

It very vividly presents a beautiful picture of how strong a

woman can be if the need arises.one of the most touching books I’ve ever read.with a very vivid account on the war.

And then.the fifth favourite will be *Love Story *by Erich Segal. Its one of the most touching love story(as the name itself suggests) I’ve ever read.

Both the characters, Oliver and Jenny, are very sweetly presented in the book by the author. Well, some may find the story a bit’like in the movies’.but its a very sweet, sensitive  and touching portrayal of love between two very different individuals, who are from very different backgrounds.I read the book atleast 5 times and ended up crying each time I read it. Its definitely a must read, worth every cent of money one spends on it.

Well.there are loads of books I’d like to add in my list given a chance.but these five are the ones closest to my heart.and have been read and reread by me time and again!
