I went to 5 Spice with three other friends last evening. Even though I am personally not very fond of 5 Spice, my friend swears by it. However our last experience at 5 Spice Bandra wasnt exactly the most pleasant weve had. Amongst the 4 of us, my friend who loves 5 Spice is a pure vegetarian.
Given the large portions of food they serve and the Shravan month, we all decided to order a vegetarian meal which consisted of 2 starters and a portion of Pot Rice with drinks, our regular at 5 Spice. Engrossed in the conversations we finished the starters and the main corse was served. To our uttermost surprise my vegetarian friend found a piece of egg in the suppossed vegetarian Pot Rice.
This by no standards is acceptable considering she is one vegetarian and for the others its Shravan going on so we are not supposed to have egg or meat. So we asked for the manager to complaint about what had happened. Instead of apologising to us for the goof up and being polite. Mr Ashok- Bandra decided to throw attitude at us and said that these things happen constantly and that we shouldnt make a big deal about it. On top everything else the manager had this constant smirk on his face which did not go down very well with us after the experience we just had.
So we decided to continue ordering the meal we originally intented to and decided not to pay the bill. If you think we could walk out without having to deal with anymore insult, well it gets worse, while we were on our way out, the manager tried to phyiscally assault my friend and I. Finally we lost all the patience we had and we told him we want the contact details for the owner which he refused to give. Then when we decided to call the cops he finally let us go.. still without any apology for his behaviour.
This is by far the worst customer service we have experienced and we do not intend to let the management of 5 Spice get away with it.
