We were very fond of 5 Spice Restaurant Matunga as it was a pure vegetarian hotel.
On 08/10/2017, we ordered vegetarian food as my daughter loves it from 5 Spice. But to our shock the containers had Chicken in it. The container pic is attached which also denotes green dot with vegetarian assurance on it.
We thought it must be mushrooms as being Jain’s, we have never seen chicken or any non veg dish up-close. I asked my neighbour and he confirmed that it is chicken.
We called the hotel to ask as from when did they start non veg and why is my home delivery goofed up. To that the telephone attendant coolly replied that he will send "free" replacement and not to make an issue out of it! When asked for a refund he was reading out hotel policies to me. What a stupid guy.
Already all the family members were in a state of shock and his arrogant replies made it worse. Had we known that it was a non vegetarian hotel we would have never ordered any food from here.
To this I opened the Zomato app and not 1 or 2 but 6 people had reported the same issue in the past 3 months. All of them complained that this hotel sent them non vegetarian food in veg containers.
