I missed Trisha very much in Saamy Square because she was present in the Saamy. But Now I have watched her other film named ' 96' . Trisha is a one of the best heroine in south cinema. She has ruled many years in south box office. She also has done well in this film. But sometimes if the story of the film is not good , then the performance of actors do not work for making it well. The same thing happens with this film. Director Prem Kumar is also the writter of this film and he has failed to present a good plot in front of audience. Vijay Sethupathi is a psycho actor , Psycho does not means wrong, it is in a good way. I mean he does very well with every character. But his performance also does not save the film. The film makes me bored many times in many scenes.
I will not reveal the story of the film because if you like Trisha or Vijay, then you can watch it. Because maybe it is the first time when both shares screen at lead and oposite roles.
The story of the film revolves around a couple - Ram and Jaanu. Ramchandran aka Ram is a photographer and Janaki devi aka Jaanu is his lover. How the love story runs in the 96, how the memories of childhood runs, how the life of a man is differ in the past.The story runs over this plot. The first half of the film makes me bored and when jaanu enters in the film , then all story revolves around her present and past. For this little try to make a good film I give it 2 stars.
