I have watched almost every movie directed by Clint Eastwood.This was one of his best movies to date.Very well directed, this was also Kevin Costner’s acting triumph.I wonder how many of you have seen this gem of a movie.As it is with all of Clint’s movies, the story unfolds at a leisurely pace but begins to pack a wallop through the middle.It deals with the relationship between a prison escapee(Kevin Costner)who makes off with a young boy who is played ably by Elijah Wood.The kid is starved of love which he gets from unexpected quarters in the form of this prisoner.Clint Eastwood plays a warden who is after the prisoner with a whole team in tow and has to make a difficult choice.It is a thought provoking movie which jolts you into thinking about so many things.And I will not mind admitting that there were several moments in the movie which brought a lump to my throat.See it if you haven’t.I would say you are missing something good in cinema.
