Written by the legendary author, Liz Braswell, A Whole New World - A Twisted tale depicts an entirely different phase of the well-known story of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp.
Set in the deep deserts of Agrabah, the book is a narrative of the of Aladdin and Jasmines love story through struggles, revolutions and wars.
The story starts with Alladin, astreet rat and a petty thief in the teeming markets of Agrabad. He is accompanied by his pet and friend, Abu, a monkey and they are often chased by the market guards for stealing from the market.
One day, while stealing from the market, Aladdin meets Jasmine, mistaking her as a pretty lady from a rich family instead of the royal princess and desparately falls in love with her. He is thrown into the dungeons of the royal palace on Jafar, the great viziers order. There Alladin meets Jafar in the guise of an old man who leads him to the Cave of Wonders, makes him bring the Magic Lamp, takes it and traps Aladdin in the cave. Finally, when Aladdin is able to come out alive with Abu and his new friend the Magic Carpet, circumstances change for worse. Jafar is the sultan now and soon his magic starts changing Agrabah. Now, it is upto Aladdin to save princess Jasmine, Agrabah and the Genie from a power-hungry sorcerer who wants to break all the laws of magic and also has the genie on his side. Aladdin meets some old friends and they conspire to save Agrabah and the princess Jasmine.
Will they be successful? Will Jafar break all the laws of magic? What will happen thereafter? To find it out, you have to read the book.(Sorry but I dont want to write the entire story or else none of you will buy it. I hope you understand).
