Its a malayalam action thriller directed by jeethu joseph who previously directed drishyam, its produced by antony perumbavoor.it marks the debut of mohanlal’s son pranav.
Plot :
Its the story of a youngster aadhitya mohan aka aadhi ( pranav mohanlal) born in a middle class family who is an aspiring music director, his parents mohan ( siddique) and rosy ( lena) are very supportive to aadhi but also concerned about him.
Aadhi goes to Bangalore where he meets his classmate anjana ( aditi ravi) in a pub.she is there with arjun reddy s/o narayan reddy ( jagapathi babu) and her colleague jayakrishnan ( siju wilson) . Aadhi sings a song and anjana praises him which makes his friends jealous.a fight starts and several other incidents takes place in which someone is killed which change the life of aadhi.aadhi has to run and escape from the goons to save his life.
Direction :
Jeethu joseph has been able to engage the viewers throughout .1st half is average with most of the scenes being predictable and 2nd half is good , climax has been executed well.characterization of aadhi is very good .the plot is nothing new and a bit similar to his previous films.screenplay is gripping though it lags initially.the emotional scenes doesnt make an impact.
Performance :
Pranav gives a promising debut and performs very convincingly.his performance in action scenes is very impressive, he performed parkour with ease.sharafhudeen has given a good performance .siddique in father role has given justice to his character.aditi ravi had a limited scope to perform , lenas characterization is weak.anusree as jaya shines and able to bring some laughs.jagapathi babu and siju wilson are good in their roles.
Music and cinematography :
Songs and background music given by anil johnson is good and suits the proceedings very well.cinematography by sathish kurup is decent and does particularly well in chase sequences.
