This is a 2003 incident.
Since I did not have access to MS in 2003, I visited aalianz auto to book a zen. Gave the booking amount and booked a pearli white zen. The dealer told me to come on a specific day and bring DD for remaining amount.
So I went to the dealer with the DD and with entire family to take the delivery. On arrival, dealer says they can only give a white zen and that too without the maruti scheme (free gold coin). I told them this is cheating as I had booked a pearl white car.
Asked them to return the booking amount but they refused and made excuses. They said I try whatever I can do but I wont be able to do anything against them. Further, I can call jagdish khattar for all I care.
Then I raised a hue and cry and 1 of their customers left seeing the treatment they were giving to other customers. Since aalianz didnt want to loose other customers, they refunded my amount then.
I decided not to buy a maruti and brought a santro. Had a fantastic experience and the car is serving me very well since then.
