Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiya has been released for quite some time but I only got this weekend to watch it. I had rented this flick just because Dad wanted to watch some comedy and I thought that it might be good as of the caste in the movie. The movie stars Tabu, Juhi Chwala, Govinda, ChandraChur Singh, Jonny Lever and Govinda’s nephew: Vinay Aanad.
The story is basically looking at the funny side of middle-class wife-husband relationships...this is really ironic as there is hardly any comedy; just a few funny moments but you have to try really hard in finding theses moments!!!! The story is how man feel ashamed when their wives start working and they become the housewives...sorry house-HUSBANDS! The movie also shows the wacky ways in which some men try to get jobs by lying in their interviews!!!!
The flick ends with the husbands finally understanding and agreeing with their ladies working-well I never saw that coming!????????!!!!!!!!?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The main aim of the flick is trying to tell people that women are able to work and earn their own living-but this is a really old topic for India. As Indian women are earning their own bread plus there have been a lot of movies based on this same topic. They have basically tried making comedy and not really concerntrated on the storyline...though the comedy is weak too!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was surprised that actors like Tabu, who has starred in movies like Chandani Bar, Virasat etc. and even Chandrachur Singh...I would not call him a brilliant actor but I would not expect him to star in a nonsense movie like this one.
O well I suppose we all make mistakes , but this one will be a hard one to forget!
Seeing as the movie was silly in the first place, the acting would have made no difference, and it didn’t! As the acting was nothing special though it had a range of actors!
There are hardly any songs, but the few songs that are present are pathetic and do not make the movie worse as it is really bad!!!...and I mean really BAD!!!
So if you wish to drink old, poor and weak wine in a new bottle, then this is the flick for you; otherwise I suggest you lot to invest your time in something better!!!!
The story mainly focuses on everyone apart from Govinda and Juhi-you will see these two more towards the end. And this is a request to Bollywood producers and directors: please make something new...I don’t know why Iam trying as even I know that they would still make the odd similar projects!
