This drama serial’s story revolves around two families suffering in different circumstances. The main character is JALEES who is having three kids and his wife wanted to settle in USA as her parents lived there.JALEES is a sound businessman and was providing good lifestyle to his family but his wife wanted to migrate to USA which was refused by her husband and she preferred to be divorced leaving her two daughters and a son in Pakistan and moved to USA.
These circumstances took away the confidence from her children and they were compelled to bear the social pressure because of their mother’s cruel act. Everybody used to talk and discuss negatively about their mother. Due to which , for the sake of children Jalees decided to marry again which headed him to a middle class family who was facing problems for its daughter’s(ulfat) marriage.Ulfat’s father was disappointed and therefore he accepted JALEES proposal for his daughter. On the wedding night Jalees introduced his children to her and she instantly developed hatred and jealousy for them. There was always a battle between ulfat and children. She never realized their feelings and put their life in total misery. Jalees married only to provide a good mother to his children. He wanted a settled family life but Ulfat failed to do so and left his house and shifted to her parent’s house. Her parents tried their best to make her realize about her negative behavior but she got angry and left the house, shifted to hostel. She filed a case for divorce. Jalees’s lawyer tried to prove that Ulfat possess a poor character but Jalees stopped him from doing this in the court and this gave realization to ulfat about Jalees’s gentle and humble behavior towards her despite of her bad behavior with his children.
This gentle act actually revealed this reality that although Jalees married her b/c of his children but he also had respect for her and he could protect her from the hardships of life.
ULfat was totally changed and requested Jalees to give her permission to come back with a promise that she will do what Jalees wanted from her. She changed her behavior with the children and after facing so many problems, at last, she succeeded and children accepted her as their beloved mother. Jalees lived happily with his family.
This drama serial gives a very strong message of sacrifice. Even in Pakistan so many families contacted writer and the actors and actresses and told them how this serial gives them realization and helped them to settle their family life.
It’s a very serious play discussing social issues with depth and provides solution.
