AAankhen is a total family entertainer. It is even worth comparing it to the likes of Lagaan. The plot seems so good that one cannot believe that it is original. The cast is good and not extravagant but very well chosen. Acting is really good. Every actor in this film seemed to be doing very well. It was so good that even Amitabh Bachchan was not able to overshadow anyone of them (Akshaye Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal). Screenplay is fabulous. The action scene are good and the comedy is great .I think the most positive point in the film is the story
The story starts with Mr. Vijay Singh Rajput (Amitabh Bachchan) who is extremely dedicated to his bank Vilasrao Jefferson (I couldn’t think of more stranger name). He also is having some god damn mental problem due to which he gets very angry and is also very vindictive (so many qualities in one man is simply commendable).
He is sacked from the bank for beating a bank employer for trying to cheat an old lady by Rs. 100 (that old lady must surely be Rajputs gf). And then he is thinking someway or other to rob the bank as his revenge. In the mean while he m bums across Neha (sushmita sen) who is a teacher of blind people. He makes her work for him by abducting her younger brother. He also manages to find three blind Arjun (Arjun Rampal), Elihas (Paresh Rawal) and Akshaye Kumar (sorry, I couldn’t remember his filmi name), who would actually do a bank robbery for him. Neha then trains them for the actually bank robbery. I think this is the best part of the film and have put in a lot of brain in this indigenous training.
Then is the actually bank robbery and the slips and hits during. I will not narrate the full film and spoil the fun but in all it is a complete entertainer and a total piasa vasul. I am so optimistic about this film that I believe that it is our this years entry in the Oscar and who knows I might also bring home the Oscar!!!
