Bollywood churns out loads of movies every year.Audience has its own taste.People, usually, decide to watch a movie by seeing its promos, songs aired on television channels.If the songs/promos, the starcast, the storyline appeals to them - they go ahead and watch the movie or else stay away from them.
But, in the case of this Himesh Reshammiya starrer(Aap Ka Suroor), it has been different.The people who love him, were eagerly waiting for this flick and dint miss it.They wanted to know, how good is Himesh as an actor.They wanted their icon to sizzle on the big screen and this drew them to the Movieplexes.
So did the people who hate Himesh.steer away from the theatres? Not exactly.They thronged the halls with brickbats.They wanted to trash this movie.
Ultimately.who gained HR of course.The movie has had good collections.The curiosity factor abt HR worked well!

Plot: - **The storyline is done to death several times in Bollywood and is nothing new or fresh.
Himesh Reshamiyya(plays himself) is a popular singer/rockstar from India.Sponsorers Q up for his shows, all over the world.During one such trip he goes to Germany.He is accompanied by his best Friend Shravan.He is doing the stage shows for Darshan Jariwala, who is the event organizer.He meets Ruby(Mallika Sherawat), who is legal advisor for Darshan. Ruby falls for HR.But HR loses his heart to the sweet, simple and cute Riaa(Hansika), ** who is the event manager for this show.Even for Riaa, its sort of "Love at first sight".
They confess their love.But face some opposition from Riaa’s father(Sachin Khedekar), who thinks that HR is just going to use Riaa.He likes HR, but doesnt have good opinion abt people frm Showbiz.HR some hw convinces him and he agrees to HR and Riaa’s marraige.
All seems to go well.But suddenly HR is framed for **Nadia, a press reporter’s murder.
Nadia is the daughter of an ex-cop Mr.Merchant(Raj Babbar).
*On the night of the murder, HR celebrates with Shravan and gets drunk.When he returns to his flat, Nadia is waiting to interview him.Actually she has a hidden camera(for a sting operation on HR).Somehow, Nadia gets murdered and on her camera it shows HR as the culprit.However HR cant remember a thing.He says, he was knocked out.
What follows is HR escaping from Jail to meet Riaa and also to find Nadia’s real killer.
As I sed the story has nothing new to offer.
Performances:- Himesh is just about OK as an actor.If he is serious about making it big as an actor, then he will definitely have to work a lot on his expressions, dialogue delievery and also body language.However, said that, it cant be denied that he has a good screen presence.He is confident.And definitely, he has done a much better job in his debut comapred to other singer turned actor(Sonu Nigam).
Hansika looks good, cute and attractive.Her role doesnt demand much histronics, still she does well.All in all a good launch, as a lead actress, for Hansika.
Mallika Sherawat is fine.Darshan does a good job, but looks a little misfit .
Shravan, as HR’s friend, is confident and is excellent.He provides some of the light moments in the film.Sachin Khedekar is adequate.Raj babbar doesnt get much scope.
Direction - Prashant Chadda does an average job.Guess, he relied more on the curiosity factor.
Screenplay is good.However, the lack of a solid story is evident.
Music is one of the strongest aspects of the movie.The songs are melodious and go well with the movie.
Germany is captured well in the film.The film has a rich and glossy look throughout.
All in all Aap Ka Suroor is an average flick.HR fans and the curiousity factor will probably turn it a box-office success!
Recommended mainly for HR fans.
