A lot of credit should be given to Anubhav Sinha, the director, for judging the audience response at the end of the movie, and giving appropriate name to his movie thats Aap Ko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai (AKPBKDH, or still shorter, AKDH). This movie is typical Bollywood movie, where you can predict the end and the complete story, just by the end of first half hour. Like the name I felt the same.
Plot:
Few day back I watched Kehta Hai Dil Baar-Baar, no its not Bar-Bar(As in Pub). I saw it at my sweet sweet home, thanks to our sweet sweet Cable waalah. Yup Im going insane, I spent 400 bucks on this movie, yaar.
Okay back to reality. I meant the lot of AKDH is very similar to Kehta Hai Dil Baar-Baar. But for actors, the two movie feels the same. Both are made on Father-Daughter relationship. Keep it short and interesting as Skirt; In AKDH, Ompuri plays the father of Sakshi Shivanand, who falls in love for Priyanshu, who I believe is a class actor. Priyanshu earlier in the movie had rammed to Ompuris car so, he always chants AKPBKDH, okay.
Now Priyanshu is a Suspended Cop, who gets his suspension because of his presumed ignorance in letting a criminal go of the hook. So, our hero takes the matter to his own hands, and goes after the criminal on his own, even after getting suspended. God knows how come he had his service revolver all the time or did I miss something. All the meeting with the parents are done in a comic way, that hardly made me laugh. While falling in Love with Sakshi he hides his actual identity. But comes out on the day of marriage, when the Baraat is assembled at the courtyard. So he is rejected. Then there is this abrupt end in the movie, where the criminals comes after him, and in process get arrested in front of Ompuri. All matters settled amicably, outside the court-yard. And our Hero-Heroine gets ready for marriage, father accpets the reality of his daughter leaving him with her to be husband. Thats it, seriously thats it.
Direction:
For this Junk stuff, Anubhav Sinha, has done a wonderful job. I meant, there where very few people with me at the canteen, while the movie was going on. Isnt Anubhav Sinha the one who directed Tum Bin??
Tum Bin was too Good. Now thats what my Dad says, Life is a Great Leveler.
Attraction:
Though a bad script the movies direction is still very good.
Screenplay by Shashank is quite good.
Dialogues/Comedy does have some freshness, but not always.
Priyanshu is the star for the future.
Sakshi, wanted to look Sexy, but...
Overall:
My 400 bucks!!!!!.......................(crying)............................................................(still crying).
Jaimohan(c).
