I subscribed to ABC Broadbands services in Feb10 and I was promised at the time of installation that installation charges of Rs. 500 will not be charged. It was because in my area all the existing connection of Sify were given to ABC Broadband by the local Sify service provider.
To my surprise, they charged the installation charges of Rs. 500 in the 1st bill itself. Later on when I followed up, they assured me that it will be adjusted very soon. Till the end of Aug10, nothing was done, no body ever bothered to revert back on my complains. Every month their bill collection guy requested me to pay for the current month and hell get the Rs. 500 adjusted in the next bill. Nothing happened. In protest, I didnt pay July & Aug10 bill and told that first they should resolve my excess bill query.
Then, in the mid of Sep10, without informing, they disconnected their internet services. When I talked to customer care, every time they gave me one compliant number and assured that it will be resolved AS SOON AS POSSIBLE but never committed a time period.
When I threatened to take some legal action against them, they provided me the mail id of their Delhi Nodal officer and his name, Mr. Veer Garg. I wrote a mail to him and he assured, in reply, that somebody will get back to me. When no body revert back for 2-3 days, I thought let me pay back the July & Aug10 bill and hold the installation charges. So I paid my two months bill on 23rd Sep10 and called up to customer care to resume my connection. To my surprise, I was told that it will not be resumed unless I pay the balance amount as well, even though the query resolutin is pending on their end from last 4-5 months. Again, I followed up with Mr. Veer Garg, as expected, no response came through. I was experiencing problem because of lack of internet connection at home, so I thought let me pay back the entire amount and forget about it. So I paid the balance amount on 28th Sep10. When I called up customer care to inquire about by what time my connection will be resumed. I was told AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and no time was committed. From the last four days, I am following up daily for resumption of my connection and till date it is yet to be resumed.
This is pathetic and its an harassment.
i advise not to go for ABC Broadband at all. I thought of continuing with ABC Broadband for only one reason, as of now other service providers are not providing any monthly plan which starts at Rs. 300.
