I am a salaried account holder of the bank.No body will open an account in this bank for an ordinary savings account.
The bank has only one branch in the entire of tamilnadu!!!.If any queries has to be made , we are forced to go to the nugumabakkam branch in chennai.
Internet banking service:
Their internet banking service is the one of the worst, most of the time the server will be down or it will be busy ("How a bank with less cutsomers can have the server so much busy?"").
Debit card service:
one of my friends received the debit card, and he was waiting ro receive the PIN number, the PIN number was empty , there is no pin number printed on it.Again we requested for new pin number, the bank again sent a new mail, again the pin number is not printed, you guys beleive it or not, the pin number was empty for 10 times, my friend cant use his debit card for more than 6 months, and there is no branch offices near by , he is unable to withdraw is own hard earned money.
since my friend was unable to withdraw the money, he contacted the customer care, they told that they can deliver the amount by courier and he has to give a cheque to the amount delivered by the courier guys.As the customer care told , he requested for 5000 rs and courier guy came and he asked a self check for 5000rs.
One fine day, my friend got a call from bank that his signature on the cheque is not correct and he has to submit attested bond paper from any rotary public to make sure the signature on the cheque belongs to him.They dont even accept the ration card, voter id, driver license, etc.This is really a act of neglegence by the bank.If it is not a salaried account , my friend would have closed the account, snce it is salaried he dont know what to do.Finally he got signed the bond papers from rotary public and submitted to the bank.
Credit card service:
One of the worst credit card service in the world, a call will come from the customer care that they offer lifetime free credit card, and for salaried accounts it is totally free for life time("free for card life time or our life time?).A guy will come and he will just ask us to put a signature and he will collect the form, the next day the customer care people will ask the details to fill up the form, after that we will get a call from delhi for verification.after all is done , I got the credit card along with the add on card , which I have not requested, and a call will come from delhi, saying that they will charge fee for credit card after one year.("Intially they made false statements like free for lifetime").They will also send an ICICI lombard insurance thereafter, which we have not requested and ask us to pay the premium for the insurance.How can the bank can process all these insurace activities without the kowledge of customer ?Cancelling this insurance is a very big head ache, we have to call to customer care and we have to tell them the whole story , that I have not requested for it.
important senario:
one fine day a guy called me , I am totally confused of his english speech , all he gived me a statement , not asked any questions or request, he said six installments ok?, 9000 rs ok?finally he said you have to pay 10 installments ok?Finally I asked, I have to pay istallments only if I purchase any products using the credit cards?he said ok?all he said with the above statements added with ok, His english was so pathetic!!after one week I got a cheque for rs 9000 , which I have not requested for, I was puzzled how this came to me, then I remember the guy who called me before one week, How can a bank can have employee like people menioned above without proper communication skills.Then I have to mail and call them several times to cancel the cheque.
Customer service:
When you have to reach the customer service of abn amro bank, you have tospend 20rs to reach the represntative of the bank, you have to wait atleast 20 minutes to reach the representatives, they will say 24hrs customer service, but representatives will be available from 9am to 6 pm!!.Nobody will open an account in this bank, dont ever open an account with this bank, say a BIG no to ABN AMRO credit card.
