Powering the Aspire E5-571-5552 is the Core i5-4210U dual core mobile processor. This is a surprising entry to see at this price point as most laptops under$500 are using the Intel Celeron or Pentium processors with a few in the Core i3 models. This is a lower voltage processor intended for ultrabooks but it still provides a solid level of performance for those that want to do a bit more than just browsing the web, streaming media or doing productivity applications. Of course the performance is a bit limited because of the 4GB of DDR3 memory matched up to the processor which reduces the ability to multitask or use highly demanding applications. The memory can be upgraded but it takes a bit of work to access them due to the lack of an access panel and the use of DDR3L low profile modules.
