Adam Gilchrist, I think, is an amazing player. As a batsman he is a wrecking force and as a wicket keeper, he is just uncomparable. He is the best Keeper available now and Australians are really lucky to have him in the side. He had been a major factor in almost all of Australia’s recent wins.
I just can’t imagine another keeper in his spot. He is just amazing. Who can be a subsitute for him after he retire? This may be the major question for the Australians some years later. If he stops playing risky shots, he can score a lot more. His power alone is sufficient to take the ball past the boundary. He is such a master of big hits. I haven’t seen anyone hitting sixes with this much ease for a long time. He is the back bone of the Australian team. They won the world cup due to the good opening stand between Hayden and Gilchrist.
