I wish to share this review about the insurance plan I had invested in 2008. I selected Birla Sunlife for my investments because it was recommended to me by my brother who had also earlier invested in this company.
The plan that I had opted for was platinum advantage.
I had also consulted with other insurance companies before finalizing on this plan. This plan has the guarantee of highest NAV over 7 years. This investment has seen its ups and downs. However the plan ensures that the guaranteed value is the highest NAV. The plan has seen NAV rise from 10 rs to current 15.37.
However, the best part is that the highest NAV guarantee is for 18.20 rs (performance of 82%). Because of constant volatility of the market, the portfolio keeps on wavering from one value to another. However, the highest NAV guarantee ensures that I breathe easy.
Since I am a long term investor, I am not too worried about day to day volatility. Furthermore insurance is a long term investment, I am treating it that way.
