Well what happens when you mix up your own past films and present it in a new dish that is garnished with big audience graber stars like Ranbir, Anushka, Aishwarya, Fawad.Oops hope there us no ban on taking names, You get AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL.
Lavish Locations and Rich characters define Karan johars films and the film undoubtedly succeeds that.
First half of the film flows in a smooth manner as ranbir shift form anushka to Aishwarya, as former only concedes ranbir as his great friend. Opps bhai toh friend zoned hogaya. And the story moves and as Aishwarya come into the picture, lures us with her beauty and goes away. Finally making Ranbir realise he can only be friends with anushka.
Well it reminded me of karan johars own film, not directed but produced by him, EK MAIN AUR EK TU, WHICH HAD SAME THEME, where the less know imran khan fall in love with kareena kapoot but the later only see the former as his good friend. Dejavu. Thats what I felt in the middle of the movie, I know many might have skipped that movie bit I was the unlucky who had watched it. Well karan has just mixed it up so well that you don’t realise its copied.
Second of of the film is bit sluggish and disturbs the flow of movie and you suddenly start doubting whether is it sti karan johar direction.?
Well I moved out of movie unsatisfied as I had high expectations from the movie.
Music and the casting is plus point for the movie. Rest is just below average.
Will give 2 stars as I had already watched ek main aur ek tu, one star less for stealing the concept.
