I had relocated using Agarwal Packers & Movers(DRS Group) services on 23 March 2014. Not only did I pay a hefty sum of Rs 47714 for relocating goods but also insured them against for an amount of Rs 70000. If you are an individual, you have to pay in full post all the goods have been loaded.
*My truck reached Gurgaon on April 1 2014 and immediately I realized that the dining table’s base was completely broken lying in two halves in the truck itself. It was improperly packed and placed horribly in the truck.
I complained them about the damage and they asked me to contact the claims department. While leaving, the guy warned me that I will end up making numerous calls but no one will attend to my claim*
During the packing and loading time, a team of six people will barge into your house for packing. **They will simply dump items in the cartons whether they are fragile or not.
I had to rush between these people to check if everything’s packed properly*
During unloading as well, there is a team unpacking everything everywhere. Their hurry is unmatched, tightening nuts & bolts anywhere without any care
So far, I have been calling the claims dept since April 1 and no one has attended to my claim yet.
About the damage, I had put my dining table’s base price as Rs 5000 though it costs much above Rs. 25000 as the charges for insurance are separate. With no one answering you, would it had been wise, if you had insured it for higher amount?

I have also used local packers and movers earlier for relocating the same items who charged me a meagre sum of Rs. 15000 plus tips to relocate entire goods.
All items reached intact and on time. In comparison, DRS has charged almost Rs. 50000 plus the damage. With the difference amount of Rs. 35000, I can get anything repaired or purchase anything.
These guys might be providing better services to corporates but as an individual, my advice will be to stay away from them.
I would caution people to take following precautions for sure.
*1. Don’t pay the entire amount. Pay only 15% in the beginning and rest after your goods have been unloaded without damage.
Don’t insure any item. If anything is broken, put it on your fate and move ahead. Their claim department will never respond as claimed by their supervisor.
Don’t tip any of the people during unloading and loading time. It will only give you more disappointment if your goods are damaged.*
