I recently shifted to Bangalore from Delhi & made use of Agarwal Packers & Movers to shift my household. I paid in advance an amount of Rs 85447/- which included transit insurance of my household for 6000/- at a value of 3% of the value of declared goods.
Upon unpacking by their team it was found that IFB Microwave Oven was broken; Samsung double door fridge was dented and bottom damaged which made it off-balance; TV trolley was broken; quite a lot of crockery items were broken thus rendering the whole set useless.
This happened around 15 days ago and since then I have been calling their Delhi; Bangalore & HO at Hyderabad and speaking to people at various levels including All India Head Operations.
All my efforts have gone waste & when I asked them if I should go to police or consumer courts, I was hurled abused & told I could go wherever I wanted to.
This morning I wrote to their MD stating it is my last communicationn with their company after which I will proceed as per the law of land.
I guess that it is service class who normally shifts from one city to another, sometimes in the same job & sometimes due to change in job.
In my case it is a job change that brought me from Delhi to Bangalore, a city where I hav eno relatives & friends. The pressures of a new job; new city; finances at such times and then this is what you least expect after paying so much money.
I have learnt from many in last 15 days including their own employees that their services have gone to dogs after a restructuring and many consumers like me are awaiting justice.
Wise people should learn from others mistakes. Please do not hire them, it is better to sell household at half price also and buy new ones from the new city. as that is more economical eventually and saves a lot of un-necessary stress.
