It was the worst experience in my life in respect of shifting of house hold from Bangalore to Bellary through DRS Group( Agarwal Packers & Movers). I have asked for quotation through internet and Mr. Mohan Lal(Mobile No.9379889742) has visited my house and given a quotation for Rs.22825/- including?(5000/- for packing charges, 1500/- loading charges, 1500/- unloading charges and 12000/- for 17 feet truck freight charges plus taxes) dated 22/7/2013 and I have been assured that they will take one day for packing and packing will be done with good quality materials and some items like fridge and washing machine will be packed with wooden frame.? They told that they will be sending 17 ft truck for carrying the house hold articles?
Based on their quotation I have given the date of 07/08/2013 for shifting of my house hold from Bangalore to Bellary? Packing persons have come around 10 AM? on 07/08/2013 and they forgot to bring some Packing materials and they have partially packed the items that day and again they came on 08/08/2013 and they have finished packing around 4: 00 PM.? Packing quality was not good enough and they have not used any wooden frame for fridge and washing machines as they promised earlier? After that a 14 feet(as against 17 feet as mentioned in quotation) open truck(not of DRS group I think locally hired) has come and they started loading my house hold articles? As the space was not enough on the truck they have loaded the items forcely on the truck and some items on the top of the truck body which resulted in damage of some articles.
I have paid full amount of Rs.22905/-( including packing, loading, unloading and fright charges inclusive taxes) in cash on 08/08/2013 after loading. The truck has reached Bellary at 2: 00 AM on 09/08/2013? At 09: 00 AM I have seen that there was not any person for unloading the house hold articles? Driver of the truck has told me that I have not been told anything regarding unloading of the articles? I tried to contact the office of DRS group(Head Office, Hyderabad & Regional Office, Bangalore) and Mr. Mohan Lal also but every body told me that they will be arranging for unloading the articles and they will call me back and no body responded me back. Mr. Mohan Lal has not lifted the phone again afterwards.
After 2 hours of my phone calls to various persons of DRS Group again I called Bangalore office then I have been told that I have to arrange for unloading and they will reimburse the unloading amount to me? Hardly I was able to find some local labors in unknown place and they have unloaded the household articles and they charged me Rs.1500/-? But DRS group people told me that they can reimburse me only Rs.1000/-(as they have mentioned 1500/- unloading charges in quotation).
As I was totally exhausted with treatment what I get from DRS People since beginning I agreed and I have given my account no. and bank details to them? But around one month is over but I have not received any amount from DRS group regarding unloading which I have paid in addition to the quotation amount. I have given feedback to their website also and I have been assured that my unloading charges will be returned me back. But till now I have not received any amount. In short I can say that shifting of Household articles through DRS Group(Agarwal Packers and Movers) was a nightmare for me.
From packing to unloading of goods was a mentally torture for me. During All the conversation with DRS staff they ware very rude and rough. I have been told that if I wanted to go to Consumer Forum I can go they won’t bother about that. I never expected such kind of service from logistic group like DRS.
