My name is Yuvjit. I want to share with you my experience dealing with the most disgusting Indian company in logistics – DRS Agarwal Packers and Movers.
I handed over my 8 months old car Hyundai Verna car(Reg. no.: KA 03 5133, GC No.: 4363634) to this company(DRS Group Agarwal Packers and movers) on April 19, 2014 in Bangalore for delivery to Patiala(Punjab). I was promised that my car will be delivered in 10-12 days to the delivery location. I started following with their staff in Bangalore on May 4 since it was 14 days since the car was picked up and still not delivered.
Since May 4, every day I was told by Bangalore staff(Rajesh/ Narender/ Manju) that my car will be delivered the next day and that next day never came. The staff kept on lying and I was never told about the location where my car was and this continued for 10 days(till May 13).
On May 13, my father got a call from a mechanic in Agra – he mentioned that my Verna car is lying in accidental condition in this workshop at Agra for last 10 days and there is no one to claim it. He said a driver brought my car to his workshop 12 days back in accidental condition and asked for repair. The mechanic repaired the car but no one came back to claim it for last 12 days. Fortunately, he found my father’s number from the Bilty Slip and contacted him.
This is an extreme case of gross negligence and irresponsible behavior. I would never ever expect that a company like this will do such a thing with the customer.
The company damaged my new car(3620 kms run) and left it unattended at some local workshop in Agra. I just cann’t imagine even in my dreams that such a thing could happen with my car.
When I informed about this to the head of Bangalore operations - Manish Jain in Bangalore, initially he refused to accept and lied that this can never happen and my car is safe. Later he admitted that an accident had happened with my car. However, Manish Jain did not act or care to resolve the issue. He did not send anyone to claim the car back and instead there was a fight between DRS company and the vendor to whom the car was given aboutwho will pay for the repair. I learnt the my car was handed over to a third party by DSR Agarwal group for making the delivery but none of the companies claimed the responsibility of the car after the accident.
Eventually my family had to pick the car from the mechanic and paid from our own pocket for the damage.
My car is now in a miserable condition. The bumper was broken, side was damaged, one of the car doors is damaged, one tyre is damaged, brakes are not working, interiors of the car have been damaged and god knows how many parts the local mechanic may have taken out. So a brand new car has been turned into a miserable car.
I may have to pay about 75, 000 from my own pocket to get the complete repair(from Hyundai company; actual value need to be assessed) and my car has approx. lost a value of INR 2 lac in depreciation because of this major accident.
I think there is no sense of responsibility and integrity in the staff of this company.I would urge to all the readers – Never Ever do business with this company. Else, it may turn out to be a night mare for you to deal with them!For me, I think it was the biggest mistake of my life that I trusted them with my car - merely because of their brand name.
