Aghanjar Mahadev Temple is located at Khaniara Valley of Dharamshala In Himachal Pradesh. It is about 12 kilometer away from dharamshala bus stand. As I currently living in Dharamshala so I have got many opportunity to visit the temple. Last time I have visit week ago. As it away from from dharamshala so we use bus to reach the place.
It comes under the khaniara area. As we entered there is big gate and many sculptor are made which make gate attractive. The way reach to temple is good and marble filled. There are many shops to buy worship things.
Now the main temple. The temple courtyard is very big and lot more space. There are many temple of God Shiva. In The main temple big Shivling placed. As next the temple cum shelter for yogis who lived there and arrange all worship of temple. In mid of courtyard there is big HavanKund where daily Yogi are done prayers and havan. The whole temple walls are painted with deep red colour which made this place most beautiful. In mid of courtyard big water Tab the fresh water running continuously.
The temple is not only attract the visitor but there is other reason to visit this place. The temple is near of mini river which way cross with courtyard of temple . Then we move to there it very attractive place the cool water is flowing and also have waterfall there . Many people bathing there and practice swimming. It is also great fun for us. We had spent about two hours there and whole place is wonderful we feel to be relax and fresh. Then we come back to home.
Overall it is good to visit as celebrate holiday with different adventures place. Near by area is also good many tree have blow the fresh air. And also accessibility of place is easy to reach and have provide safe environment. So I recommend this place for others.
