For me, irrespective of cast, creed, profession, country, state, bachelor, singular, male, female, chimp, dog, missile, moron, sane, saint, criminal, judge, kid, teenager, president, popper there are only two breeds of people in this world those who have seen the TAJ and those who have not!
The most enduring monument to love, built by the fifth Mughal emperor as the final resting place for his “aankhon ka noor”(beloved) Mumtaj Mahal is at threat these days. The monument after saving its life from deadly clutches of Taj Corridor, countless factories in its vicinity is ultimately falling to the might of world power.
The vote for new list of world’s seven wonders are on and Taj is miserably doing at number 20! So much so for a country of 1.4 billion people. The Taj is not able to move up the rungs of total vote cast. A shameful fact for us indeed!
My humble request to couples courting-(because these are the species who SMS sweet nothings the most) spend a SMS for the TAJ. Show your support to the pride of our country, save it from the disgrace of not being included in the current listing of top 7 wonders.
I just can’t digest the future- a Taj eroded list of 7 wonders. Never ever the monument asked for a public support as the Indian Idol or Sa-re- ga- ma show! But “hai re teri kismat” the latest fad of vote and support has not even spared Taj! The poor thing is standing among other contestants after a brilliant performance- a visual treat for many across the world and adding joy to their fantasies for loved ones- “ki main ek flat to kharid ke de hi dungaa”(will somehow manage a flat for my Mumtaj!)- a practical thought coming to your mind after visiting this monument I am sure!

Taj, after a rocking(white marbled) performance bows to the judges and the anchor and the show is organized by the new 7 wonders foundation calling world citizens to vote for the best-

Judge 2- I remember when I took my girlfriend to you last winters she was overwhelmed by your beauty and I got the reward in one of the lonely tombs! Winks! And then blushes…
Judge 3- Yes my trip to golden triangle wouldn’t have been meaningful without you. After the dusty forts of Rajasthan, I loved the sight of white pristine, flawless beauty!
Anchor- Well, well, well- Judges are going ga ga over you but let’s see what the audience has to say about your performance!(Looking at the camera)- if you wish that your favorite Taj should come in the new list of Top 7 Wonders of the world- SMS “TAJ” and send it to 4567- remember you have to send it at 4567!
