The moment you watch the movie you can feel that the director and actor SJ surya has taken us all for a ride with ultimately no story at all.
The director thinks that with a thin line of story and good a dosage of sexy scenes he can captivate the audience. But he is proven otherwise.
I happened to watch this movie on the fourth day of its release and guess what the theater was half full(Am an optimist!!).
The heroine Nila looks like a clone of Simran. Lots of similarities in looks and none in acting.
Surya is a journalist in the movie. Nila and Surya are living together. Surya toils hard to keep his girl friend happy. He comes home late and they both have petty fights.
The heroine decides to start a restaurant with a friend of hers. Surya suspects an affair between his gal friend and her partner in business. Surya and nila have lot of differences and they seperate bcos of his suspicious nature.
Then comes the drama. As in NEW(his other movie where the story is about a 8 yr old turning in a 25 yr old man) this movie has also got some supernatural stuff.
After seperation Surya’s and Nila’s thoughts(yes the director shows them in blue and as human) help for their union.
AR Rehman has done an excellent job. All the songs are superb and the music is too good. Cinematography should also be appreciated.
Overall Anbe Aaruyire is an overdose of vulgarity and if the movie clicks at the Box office I think it will be bcos of ARR.
