Last year one of my friend came to delhi, for his elder brother’s treatment, his brother had some kidney problems and he was on dialysis, so my friend thought why not he should take him to aiims, the best hospital of India, he called me up and I also was like, yes this is the best hospital, and he will be cured soon.
As soon as he came to delhi and visit there emergency than he realized that, you are nobody in aiims, if you do not know some high profile name here in delhi. He got no rooms after to admit his brother, he was on stretcher in the emergency, her sister in law was sitting near him, and he was outside, as the emergency does not allow two people along with the patient.
The treatment started and they were giving consolation that, we are treating him, you try to get a room here so we can start proper treatment, he then called up his home and his father talk to some known politician there, then he called up someone here, after that they got room in general ward, but his brother’s condition was deteriorating continuously, they never suggested that you can take him somewhere if you want, they were always like, yes he is getting better, there was no big name doctor who visited him in early 2-3 days, then his condition was getting worsen, then on third day some senior doctor saw him and admitted in critical care room, and then they raise their hands and said you people came very late, nothing can be done, now.
It was midnight when I heard that news I went there, and in the morning he died, then I friend took his body through a private van to bhopal, it was very bed experience, of being a common man, I think we all need some known politicians or business man if we want to be safe.
My friend was saying if they could have informed us earlier we could take him some private hospital where atleast he would have got proper treatment.
