I had gone through many of the reviews on this airline before I took up this journey.
I made a journey from Bangalore to Vishakapattanam and return between 05 Dec to 09 Dec 2014.
Bangalore - Vizag sector:
Checking was done in 15 minutes with no hassles.
Crew member informed about the gates correctly and also told that no announcement will be made as per Go Silence policy followed at the Bangalore airport.
Flight arrived on time.
Cleaning and checkup activities were done at faster rate.
Picked up all the passengers in parallel and took up to the aircraft.
Flight was on run way at 10.40 with all seats fully occupied.
Service:
Great service and affordable rates on snacks.
Crew served water freely first unlike other flights.
Seats have good leg space and only 2 seats on each side.
Vizag - Bangalore Sector:
1. Flight was suppose to schedule at 8.35am from Vizag.
2. 6.40am, when we were about to reach airport, got a message saying the flight is delayed by 45 minutes.
3. In-spite of that, we had checked in the luggage.
Unfortunately by 7am, we got to know that the aircraft had a major technical problem due to which it was given an emergency landing at chennai few minutes after it took off.
Crew member in Vizag informed that it is not in their hands now due to mechanical defect, but promised to reimburse all the amount if any body want it. Many did not opt for it.
Choas created for 1 hr and the Senior Manager of Air Coasta Mr Anil at Vizag, said they are trying to do their level best for this.
7. Other flight, Indigo was already full and so he can’t accommodate on it.
8. He promised that he will do whatever possible and will let us know by 11.30 on the status.
9. Mean while messages from air costa started flowing in with different timings of delay.
Anil took all the passengers to the restaurant and offered break fast to every one.
At 1 pm he confirmed that they have allocated a new flight to take all the bangalore passengers.
We requested for Tirupati as alternative, but he suggested to take the bangalore flight only as it is already allocated for this route.
At 1 pm they offered lunch for all the passengers.
finally they arranged a diverted flight to Vizag Bangalore sector.
Though the flight got delayed, they had a valid reason and good thing is they finally arranged another flight which was have a break in this other sectors.
