Yes- Its me again, the reviewer that no one can possibly seem to agree with...
Given the recent collapse of Swissair, I find that Air France is probably the next best airline I have used on the USA-India sector. When I was flying from Chicago to Delhi and back on Air France, I found that ground staff in Chicago and Delhi were wonderful, though the staff in Paris were somewhat curt, but got the job done anyway. The planes used were newish A340s with personal TVs in front of every seat (in economy). Entertainment options were numerous, and shortly after take off, the flight attendants came around with drinks and snacks to start the flight off. I personally found that while the flight attendants did have somewhat accented English, they were still very kind and polite, much like the flight attendants on KLM and Swissair. Meals were pretty good; I ordered Muslim Meals and found them to be better than average for airline food. Paris CDG Airport is a nice place to have a layover with tons of shopping and reasonably convenient connections. On the return trip, the layover in Paris was a bit long (7.5 hrs) and we did eventually get bored with the airport. Air France has a partnership with Indian Airlines that makes luggage handling a lot easier from Indira Gandhi to Palam Airport, which was a big plus for me since I had to fly to Patna the next morning. All in all, I was very pleased with my Air France experience, and will consider flying with then again.
