Dear Mr Thulasidas ,
I thought this is fit case to be brought to none other than your attention .
I flew AIRINDIA EXPRESS on 21st July Dubai - Kozhikode with family for the first and very certainly the last time !! I will never ever fly this AIRLINE again for various reasons . The check in staff as also the inflight boys ( I must say and not crew ! ) in the aircraft were extremely rude . The flight was worser ! It took off from Dubai airport at 145 am instead of 1245 am . No reasons were given for delay . My hand baggage containing only four bottles of whisky bought at the duty free ( airport terminal 2 ) was whisked off as cargo baggage before embarking and before even I could realise what was being done to my horror - as I thought that was the end of the bottles as other crago would crush . When I insisted for the baggage explaining reasons to be given I was told by one security staff that nothing could be done now and if I insisted I would be offloaded !!!
The plane finally took off at 135 am and flew for over 1 hour 45 minutes towards destination and suddenly the captain announces - sorry we have some technical problem and we are returning back to DUBAI !! Finnaly when we reached Dubai the landing was completely out of control - the plan was dropped on to the tarmac as hot potato !! We were made to sit in the aircraft for over 1hour 30 minutes and then told to deplane !!! The seats were like benches and would recline only as much as try to squeeze into . Reaching inside the airport - time was about 615 am , we were told by airindia employee that we could get refreshments at the restaurant , but the refreshment counter employee was heard as saying - dont serve anything to airindia passengers now ! Within about 25 minutes one employee anounced for boarding the same aircraft !! - The same flight which had technical problem ( imagine the condition of passengers with infants and children flying and mental state ) took us to calicut . The inflight staff announcements were extremely poor with several mistakes , grammatical , pronounciation otherwise ! The plane finally was dropped ( not landed ) at Kozhikode airport far more worser state than it was dropped at the Dubai airport - we all thought how it didnt break into two halfs- providence helped !
The inflight staff all along had a very threatning composure I must say and I felt if we requested for anything we could be whacked - a very possibility ! Very very far from pleasing . Itr appears they never had any inflight training and were recruited as standby or may be outsourced who are not bothered about image of the airline !
Am not sure how this airline is flying ? Or is that I is taken for granted that this airline will fly like this . We paid AED 7000 for two adults and two child tickets booked way back in April 06 . Almost the price we would have paid for normal airline booking that early and were treated like beggars . Is this worth flying at all ? The only repreive - my bottles which I had bought for somebody spending aed 318 at the terminal 2 airport was fortunately in original condition !!
Mr Thulasidas - do you have an idea as to what is happening inside this organisation ? At least one thing I know , I will only fly Emirates .
Mr Das , I would suggest you to kindly look into the above and revert back to me at least from a clients perspective .
